Extras
A repository of “extra” things related to GPSPhotoLinker.
Map Servers
Another useful custom map server is mapquests. They have better street level coverage than google.

A simple drag and drop application. Drag a geolocated photo onto the application and the photo location will open in your web browser. In preferences you can choose between topozone, terraserver, google maps or set your own server. Handy to use within iView or just from the Finder with a right click. This is a Universal Application, compiled for both Intel and PowerPC processors.

iPhotoToGoogleEarth
iPhotoToGoogleEarth is a plugin for iPhoto 6 that will export photos for viewing in Google Earth.
iView Media Pro Template
Template used to create this example.
The “look” of this template was entirely designed by Daniel Robillard, freely available for download from the iView website. I modified this template with a number of scripts to download a topography or satellite map from TerraServer. This is a crude example implementation and requires both iView and a server that processes php, but you may download it and do what you want with it.

Example files
Here are a few examples files that work with GPSPhotoLinker. The tutorial included with GPSPhotoLinker uses modified versions of these files.
- SoutheastAlaskaWaypoints.gpx [1 KB] Three waypoints taken in Southeast Alaska. These do not have time stamps, but can be manually linked to photos in GPSPhotoLinker.
- SoutheastAlaskaTracks.gpx [503 KB] Tracks taken while out on the boat in Southeast Alaska. This file was hand-built, so use it only as a rough example.
- SoutheastAlaskaPhotos.zip [5.03 MB] A few photos that correspond to the above track file. The GMT time offset for these photos is -0800 GMT.
