Research Interests My work is focused on examining aspects of life history and population dynamics for the ghost shrimp, Neotrypaea californiensis, in Washington and Oregon estuaries. I am currently developing and verifying a method for age determination for the shrimp using the extractable age pigment lipofuscin as a biomarker. This information will be used to develop age based models for growth and provide insight into population dynamics patterns where length based models have proven inaccurate. |
