After almost a month spent taking a holiday break and then a pair of road trips, Oregon State (2-3 overall, 1-1 Pacific-10) returns to its home state this weekend to wrestle five dual meets in three days.

On Friday, OSU will take a quick trip over the Cascades for the Oregon Wrestling Classic duals. The Beavers will face Portland State (0-2, 0-1 Pacific-10) and Cal State-Fullerton (4-5, 2-1 Pacific-10) in Pac-10 duals at 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; then face 16th-ranked Wisconsin (4-0, 0-0 Big Ten) at 5:45 p.m. and Pacific Lutheran (0-4) at 7:30 p.m. to round out the day. The OWC Duals will be held at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds Expo Center.

Oregon State returns to Gill Coliseum on Sunday for a non-league dual against 13th-ranked Central Michigan (3-0, 0-0 Mid-America) at 2 p.m.

"There's a variety of levels of opposition and there are a bunch of matches," OSU head coach Joe Wells said. "It's a good opportunity for us to get a lot of matches, to look at our match strengths and at our match management. We'll be looking to get out and set the pace and score some points."

The Oregon Wrestling Classic includes the state's dual meet championshps for all three high school classifications, plus a youth tournament.

"It's a great opportunity to see the talent in the state," Wells said. "The high schools, the young kids coming up ... it's a fun environment and it's a great venue for competition."

The Beavers will get a little change of scenery in facing Central Michigan and Wisconsin. OSU will also be happy to see Gill Coliseum again; the Beavers have wrestled just once in their home arena so far this season.

"We've been doing a fair amount of traveling," Wells said. "It's going to be fun to wrestle in front of the hometown folks."

Portland State will meet Wisconsin on Wednesday night before the Classic Duals. The Vikings last wrestled on Dec. 19 at the Reno Tournament of Champions, placing 18th of 22 teams. PSU has three wrestlers in the Pac-10 rankings: Eric Arbogast is fourth at 157 pounds, Quinn Collett is fourth at 174 pounds and Randy Davidson is third at 197 pounds.
