Beth Rietveld, Women's Center Coordinator

Beth serves as Coordinator of the Women's Center and her responsiblitiies include supervision
of student staff members, interns, and practicum students; management of
Center
programs and services; fundraising and grant-writing for Center initiatives,
and liaison to the OSU and Corvallis communities. Beth has been involved
in working with women's issues at OSU since the Faculty Women's Network
formed in 1986. She has had responsibility for the Women's Center since
1992.
Beth serves on the leadership Team of the President's
Commission on the Status of Women, is Secretary-Treasurer of the Faculty
Women's Network, Instructor for Women's Studies 499/599 (Women and Leadership),
Faculty Senate Diversity Council, Difference, Power, and Discrimination
Program Advisory Board, Sexual Assault Response Network (Co-Chair), OSU Child Care
Liaison with Kindercare and Growing Oaks Child Development Center, Child
Care Advisory Committee and Child Care Friendraisers.
Beth's contributions to State and National Associations include serving
as the Oregon State Coordinator for the American Council on Education Office of Women in Higher Education and serving on the Planning
Committee for the Oregon Women in Higher Education Conference. She is
also a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators,
the National Women Studies Association, and the Oregon Attorney General's
Sexual Assault Task Force Campus Response Committee.

Tiffany Fritz
Tiffany, a master’s student in the College Student Services Administration program, brings a great deal of experience in programming, event planning, counseling, leadership development and supervision to the Women’s Center. Her previous position at California State University, Chico was the Assistant Residence Community Coordinator of three on campus residence halls where she supervised fourteen Resident Advisors in regards to programming, community building and leadership development. At CSU, Chico, Tiffany was involved with the Safe Zone program on campus, which provides gay, lesbian, transgender and questioning students a safe outlet and the co-advisor for Up ‘til Dawn, an on campus student organization that promotes and collects funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tiffany has her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Child Development from CSU, Chico. She has a tremendous amount of interest in women’s issues, diversity awareness and advocacy. |

Stephanie
Zhao - Marketing Coordinator
Stephanie is a senior at the College of Business and will be graduating in the spring with a degree in Marketing and Communications. She enjoys dancing, eating sushi, and being creative. She is most active in the multicultural sorority, Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. which she is currently the Vice President for. As a sorority sister, she helps to promote diversity and importance of children’s education. Lastly, she is very passionate about educating others about worldly issues and being active in her community. “Find a place to stand, and move the world.” |

Myra Long - Publications Coordinator
Myra is an honors college senior majoring in psychology/pre-medicine, hoping to become a naturopathic doctor. Besides being the Women’s Center publications coordinator and editor/creator of the W.I.R.E.’d Zine, Myra is also a DJ for the campus radio station, KBVR, and an active member of the Pride Panels. Myra is passionate about feminism, music, LGBTQQI equality issues, and holistic health. |

Randa Smith - Outreach Coordinator
Randa Smith is a third year student majoring in Women’s Studies. Entering her second year as the president of OSU's Black Poets' Society, she has a background in leadership and artistic expression. She has a strong passion for the performing arts and hopes to include this passion in the role she plays as a student leader. |

Alisha DeVogle - Programs Coordinator
Alisha is a junior in Health Care Administration here at Oregon State and she loves it! Although she doesn't know what she wants to do with the rest of her life she is excited to use her newly learned knowledge to explore and save the world. She enjoys backpacking, traveling and eating York Peppermint Patties. She also loves to talk and drink coffee and hang out Women's Center, so please come and partake in her habits as they are sad habits to do alone. |

Christina Blanchard - Programs Coordinator
Christina is a sophomore who is exploring the world of Literature. She loves connecting with community members, making a difference, recycling and Justin Timberlake dance parties. Christina is a huge outdoor enthusiast and will go camping anywhere, in any type of weather. She is very excited about being a program coordinator for the women's center this year! Please come visit Christina at the Women's Center, she'll surely brighten your day. |

Meagan Williams - Outreach & Service Coordinator
Meagan is a senior in Sociology and a Women Studies minor. She is involved in Greek life, student orientation, and other committees on campus. Her favorite thing about the Women's Center is the amazing staff she gets to work with and the comfortable couches! In her spare time she likes to watch The Office, read, download music and shop for shoes! She is hoping to go into graduate school for Higher Education Administration. Please stop in and visit her because she loves to meet new people!!! |

Meghan Nielson - Volunteer Coordinator
Meg Nielson is a senior in Sociology and with a minor in Women Studies. She is interested in gender and religion. Her favorite past times include going for walks, camping, playing or listening to music, reading, playing soccer and eating ice cream. This year she will be applying to various grad schools and hoping she gets in. |

Neha George - Outreach Coordinator
Neha is a senior majoring in Political Science; her minors include Business Administration and German. She is a member of the Honors College and a College of Liberal Arts Ambassador. Her passions include advancing the status of women in business and understanding organizational development. She enjoys watching movies, decorating, going on vacations and has a major sweet tooth! A few years after college she wants to go to Grad School - Business or maybe Law School! |

Elle Bublitz - Administrative Assistant
Elle is a new graduate student at OSU in the MAIS program in Women’s Studies and Religious Studies. She received her two B.A.’s (yup, you guessed it, Women’s Studies and Religious Studies!) from the University of Hawai`i Hilo, and spent 3 years at the Women’s Center there coordinating everything from Safe Zone to V-Day. She hopes to pursue a career in international NGO/non-profit work, but right now she is just excited to be living on “the mainland” as she has never lived anywhere connected by roads! |

Patricia Bowman - Office Coordinator
Patricia is a senior in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences with an option in Human Services. After graduating she hopes to pursue a career in social work and offer support to individuals and families that are in need of assistance and/or guidance. But before she takes the plunge into her career she intends to visit her family in Chile and explore her heritage. She is most passionate about feminism, body image, channel surfing and puppies. |

January Bourassa - Diversity Development AmeriCorps Member
January is the new AmeriCorps member in the Diversity Development office this year and will be working on volunteer coordination and outreach to underrepresented communities throughout Oregon. She recently graduated from Oregon State in June of 2007 with her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Pre-medical option and minors in Chemistry and Ethnic Studies. She looks forward to connecting the culture centers on campus more as well as working with such awesome people. January has a five year old daughter named Rhianna who loves to stop by the culture centers and visit with the students who work there. She will be busy this year working and studying for the MCAT because she hopes to become a doctor in the future so that she can help underprivileged communities access good health care. |
