Online Growing Degree Day Model

Downy brome Weed Model

A downy brome weed model has recently been validated by Dan Ball and made available

with the cooperation of Len Coop of OSU.  The model is valid for the inland Pacific

Northwest, including Walla Walla and Pullman, WA.

    You can access OSU's growing degree day calculator in 2 ways. 

            The calculator operates for Oregon only right now.

        1.    CHOOSE YOUR TOWN

                    For any town, use drop down box to select location or

                    click on one of the names below.  Default settings are

                    already chosen for you.  Click on Calc at the

                    bottom of the page to run the calculator.  (Note that the

                    model is not valid for all the possible sites listed.)

        2.   CHOOSE YOUR STATION FROM THE MAP

                    Click on map to link to maps, choose map,

                    then click on station black diamond of your

                    choice.  GDD information will appear in the

                    lower left corner of the page.
