Farron Scarborough
Originally I'm from Bend, a little over two hours east of here on the other side of the mountains. I went to Mountain View High School for a year and then Summit High School for two years. I graduated early and spent some time working before i came to Corvallis and I've been a student here for the past two-ish years.
Currently I'm a junior in business, focusing on finance and minoring in Spanish. I hope to travel abroad and study spanish in Spain for atleast one term. After i graduate i plan on moving to the US Virgin Islands for awhile before i settle down into a serious career. I hope to eventually be a successful real estate appraiser while also investing in real estate.
I like to think i'm a pretty easy going gal, i have a wonderful family that is the center of my world, and i couldn't ask for better friends. Life is pretty good...
My Wiki Plan
Since I'm from Bend and I've lived there for about 15 years I think it makes the most sense for me to help build/ edit the pages that have already been created about my hometown. I intend to add information about the many wonderful restaurants in Bend, as well as information about the history and growth of Bend. I will also be editing/ revising any exsisting information i see that may possibly have mistakes or errors.
My Contribution Plan List
- A list and discription of some of the best restaurants in Bend.
- Give information about the history of Bend and how it has grown in past 20 years.
- Begin a list of recreational activities that Bend has to offer.
Overview of My Wiki Contributions
So far I haven't done any of my planned wiki contributions but I have done a few side projects.
Individual Contributions
- I created an OSU Pictures forum page and included it under "Other" on the main page. I posted several pictures around town that I took in April. Hopefully people post additional images to help develop a copy write free picture database.
- I created a page for the Austin Entrepreneurship Program. I added an image and what I think is a nice layout. It includes the various aspects of the program and student run businesses.
- Added information to the blank Entrepreneurship Society page. I added an animation to the page. It includes general links and information about the club. It also talks about how to get involved and related programs.
- Added logo and school information table to OSU Wiki Main Page. This got edited out, but in the end it helped decide what we didn't want the page to look like, right.
- Created Current events page. This page is updated by other members occasionally; it also includes links to event calendars on campus and around the community.
- Created instructions on how to search the OSU wiki; OSU Wiki:Searching. I'm not sure if anyone has ever seen or used this page, but its a general necessity. I also added a link to this page in the OSU wiki Help:Contents page.

I like the information about Austin Entrepreneurial Program. It is structure really well. This is very useful information. The current events page is a good idea. And should get updated daily. I don't think there is much to add, just keep the upcoming events posted.

Definatly a good idea. I was greatly interested in the renovating of Weatherford, and the Entrepreneurial program is probably the most interesting in the College of Business.

I don't know much about that program, it will be a learning experience for me also. A more detailed plan could help the wiki out and will make it easier for you to orgranize. I look forward to reading about this subject and helping you throughout the term.

The pages turned out looking great. The Austin Entrepreneurial Program page has a lot of good useful information. I like the current events page on the OSU Wiki I think it is a good idea and will be good to check. THe photo forum good be either good or bad. I think it probably will need monotoring to ensure no inappropraite pictures get posted. Overall good job everything looks good.
