My Wiki Plan

I plan on adding a section to the OSU Wiki which will provide information about different perspectives on how to prepare for an exam, and different ways in which an individual can prepare themselves not only mentally but also physically if that does not sound to obscure. I will probably include some different tactics for different types of exams such as written exams, multiple choose, or even true false type of exams, and to go along with the tactics I want to include a portion on which the professors try to trick you by adding very closely related material on an exam.

Overview of my Wiki Contributions

My focus has been on trying to set up a page inside of the OSU Wiki that focused on testing methods, and with that goal in mind I am trying to set up a page that allows students to find help on how to take test. Also I have been focusing on adding area's inside of my projects for personal advice from either students or Instructors. So furthermore I have also been trying to edit other areas so that they can correspond with the areas that I am adding.

Individual Contributions

Who Am I?

My name is Brian I grow up in Central Point, Oregon I went to Crater High School(Home of the flaming Comets) and while I was going to school I played Football and Track, but I did not pro-sue those sports after high school. From Crater I decided to take some classes at a community college RCC (Rogue Community College), but I did not like that seen so after two and a half years I decided to transfer to OSU. But I decided to take a year off and work for my father so that I would be able to afford to live off campus, after the year of living the high life was over I submitted my transfer form and here I am. As of now I am a junior and seeking a degree in Business management, and my minor is Geology which I have not completed as of yet.

What Do I Like to Do?

I am an avid wakeboarder in which takes up my summer time and is very relaxing in some since, but there are those nasty falls which can destroy a good time. I also enjoy Snowboarding in which I normally pro-sue during the winter season, and it is also a very relaxing sport but it can have its bad times as well.

You will certainly add value with this input. My advice would be to try and make it more applicable to OSU students. For example you may try to start a section that highlights what tendencies particular teachers have with test. Even if you knew a teacher favors the answer "c" it would be helpful when you have to guess.

Your contributions to date are very thoughtful and useful. Howevor, I still believe that you should try and make it more applicable to OSU students. Why not a section suggesting places to study besides the library or at home? Now that it's nice out it's hard to stay indoors and study. I could definetly see myself using a resource like that.

I think your idea about giving some strategies about how to take certain types of tests is great. There are definitely patterns on how teachers will test you and explaining that with your knowledge would be very valuable information.

Your contributions look pretty thourogh and useful. It looks like you spent a lot of time on it, and I think it will be very useful to the OSU community. Test taking is a tough part of college and I personally will use some of those pointers. You look like you're about done with your work, so good job!

I like your idea and think it will be extremely beneficial to incoming students who might seem overwhelmed by the thought of college tests. I think this will be a great impact to the OSU wiki. Keep up the good work.
