My Wiki Plan

I plan to make contributions to the Wiki by providing interesting information about alcohol consumption. The information that I find will be mostly coming from the internet. I will be posting information that will be helpful to people who choose to consume alcohol, along with interesting facts about it.

About Me

I am a sophomore business major, and I plan to minor in communications. I was born in Coos Bay, Or and raised in Beaverton, Or., where I went to Southridge High school. I am a member of Kappa Sigma, along with being Vice President. For the upcoming summer I got an internship at a real estate company. My hobbies include; going to baseball games, hanging out, and just having a good time

Overview of my wiki contributions

My overall goal has been to give OSU students more information about alcohol. I also decided to go with one of my mentors ideas with creating a page that told a little about drinking games. Since the drinking games page did not really fit well into the OSU wiki, I decited to create a new page on wikipubs. I wanted to have fun with this topic so on the OSU wiki I mainly concentrated on alcohol awareness and on wikipubs I created a drinking games page. Along with this I have gave students useful information so that they can hopefully use it and drink in a responsible manner.

This would be a very good topic to include on the OSU wiki page since many students here choose to consume alcohol and it is very important to be aware of all the dangers that go along with drinking. It might be a good idea to decide how you are going to approach the page you are creating. Do you want to make it about why you shouldn't drink, or how to drink safely, or the consequences (legally and physically)? There are so many angles that you can take this so it would be a good idea to decide exactly what you are wanting to say and how you are going to say it so as a whole the page is clear and focused. Other than that, just watch for grammatical errors and read over your postings!

You did a good job with your wiki and I am very impressed. There is strong information that is going to be helpful to other OSU students. It was a good idea to put alcohol awareness on the wiki considering all the problems relating to alcohol in college. Good Job!!

  • It's a great start so far but your subject is very board. I feel that you should narrow it down and talk about specific information about your topic. Also you might think about how you are going to start your page when you create your WIKI plan. Maybe these are some good ideas about how you should approach your ideas "The risks of consuming to much alcohol while be a full time student," or "Consuming a lot alcohol can be fun while being at school" and here's a fun one "The types of games to play when drinking." Seriously, I think you have a fun topic to about to all OSU students and faculty. Just focus and narrow down your ideas and it should be a fun one to read!!!!

  • I see you have made some significant changes in your contributions. For your alochol awareness topic you have made a lot of contributions, including mthys about alcohol, counseling and psychological services, cutural centers and other important information that would help out OSU students. I like the idea how you informed the OSU wiki about the operating hourse, street address information, and even offering phone numbers. Overall, your wiki contribution seems great and I am guessing that you will do great on your grade with all the effort you have put into for the OSU wiki.

    You are doning good job so far. you are spreading awarness alcohol and it myths. it sucks that he took of the drinking games because i also added a game on there (Beer Pong). my only idea for you is to look into how people do or dont inherit Alcoholism. because my friend says he does, but it would intresting for you to expplore that.
