Stodd, Ken
From OSU Wiki
I'm not sure if Professor Stodd teaches BA 230 at Oregon State anymore, but if he does hopefully this information can be of some use. The class material is interesting, but he does not do a great job of keeping the class involved in the lecture. He would occasionally use an outline on the computer, but the class was mainly a lecture with no visual. Most of the class would leave at the hour break, and he never did seem to mind too much as most other teachers do. There were 4 midterms and 3 writing assignments throughout the term. The midterms were a combination of multiple choice, true/false, and 2 short answers. They were somewhat difficult, and required a focused reading of the book in order to achieve a good score. There was some credit given for class participation, which was difficult to understand as it was not very often that a student interjected a comment into the lecture. The class was fairly difficult, but a good grade could be accomplished with a fair amount of studying for the tests and a decent effort on the 3 writing assignments.
