First Opinion

Jillian was an extremely interesting and energetic teacher. He made WR 214 funny and very enjoyable. On the assignments he was clear and precise on how he wanted the layout of each paper. He was a fair grader, and gave opportunity to improve your papers later on if you were not satisfied the first time around. His positive attitude and interesting antics kept the class a joy to attend. I would strongly recommend taking this class from him, I definitely think you will enjoy it.

Second Opinion

I found Business Writing 214 to be a very informative and very practicle class to take. Because of the class I now have a working resume and cover sheet, along with the understanding of how to properly communicate in a business enviroment using written word. The class itself was easy to go to and I rarely found myself dozing off during a lecture. For me the assignments were easy do to the highly structered nature of a business document and the nit picking of Mr. St. Jacques. The few downsides to the course were the heavy amount of writing in the course, which i supose was a given since it is a writing class, and then also the hard grading by the professor. Expect to get a "B" in the course if you manage to complete every assignment and last but not least dont forget to save all of your assignments for the end of the year portfolio. Made that mistake myself and I received the pleasure of redoing a few homework assignments, and let me tell you that redoing a paper from scratch is not fun. Overall a good class though. Rating B+
