Sigma Lambda Delta
From OSU Wiki
Sigma Lambda Delta is a unique sorority that was founded in 2003.
We bask in the glory of friendship by having a sister host a sisterhood event every week. We bond truly as sisters despite differences in our race, ethnicity, age, field of study, sexual orientation or marrital status.
We celebrate our family connections by pampering our parents during Mom's and Dad's Weekends.
Our philantropy is to assist abused and abandoned domesticated animals. We work closely with Heartland Humane Sociaty (located in south town) as well as SafeHaven (located on Highway 34).
Every term, the sorority sponsors a special event. In Fall term, the events is generally centered around the arts. We treat ourselves to a wonderful dinner, dressed in formal attire during Winter term. Spring term is always highly anticipated, because we steal an entire weekend to go on a fun-tabulous retreat.

Fall 2007 [updated Nov. 12, 2007]
We catapulted into this term with a meeting during the first week of school! Keara was leaving us to go study abroad in England, so we gathered on the first day upon returning to wish her the best.
The Beaver Community Fair was a huge success! Once again, we had kittens from Heartland Humane Society (they were so cute~ we wanted to take them all home); they were our main attraction. We handed out countless flyers, had a dozen people signed up on our list, and will be welcoming 2 new sisters to join our ranks.
Dad's Weekend was very fun. Instead of a BBQ, we decided to hold a potluck at Christilaurulia (Christina, Laura, and Julia share the unofficially dubbed "Sister House") house. We were all definitely left with the impression of so much food. A dining seating 6 would only hold our entree items; the deserts were placed underneath the coffee table. Sisters, dads, and family took group photos in the backyard. The pictures will look very nice in our scrapbook.
Back by popular demand, we will be painting pottery again for this term event. We have drawn secret santa names, and the pieces we paint tonight [Monday, Nov. 12] will be gifts for our all encompassing Hallokwanhukastmas (way to go Al for coming up with these insane names that are pretty much impossible to pronounce) party.
Tomorrow, we will be in the Quad from 9:45am - 3:15pm selling raffle tickets for our fabulous quilt and other prizes. Tickets are only $1 each or 6 for $5. We will hold the drawing after Thanksgiving break.
