Places on campus to see
The places on this page are a good place to clear your mind and enjoy the Beautiful sensory that Oregon State has to offer.
Memorial Union Quad
The MU quad is amazing place to take a walk and if you have ever seen it at night it looks really cool. For me the MU is the heart of the campus and during spring it’s a place where you can find a lot of people throwing a Frisbee, and just taking in the sun. When everything has bloomed the MU quad has some beautiful trees that you can't find any where else on campus. You can even just sit under a tress in the spring and read a book or do some homework.
Take a walk next to the Women’s building
Right next to the MU is the best place on campus to see some really gorgeous flowers. There is a verity of different kinds of flowers with the most beautiful colors. Not so much in the winter but the spring, is the best time to walk by this building and enjoy what nature brings to us.
The New engineering building “Kelly”
If you haven’t been to the new engineering building you should go there and check it out. This is the most amazing building on campus for right now. This place I here has even heated door handles, which is really neat. I have even studying in there for many tests. It is a nice place to study, and really peaceful sometimes people play the piano and it’s really relaxing. If you don’t like going to the library and studying try the new engineering building I think you’ll really enjoy it.
Country store
If you lived in the dorms at one point you must have been to the country store more then once. This is the best place on campus to get a late night snack. This place is open till 1am every night. I had plenty of trips down to the Country Store when you get those late night craving. This is an awesome place, because they even have stuff like tooth paste and medicine that you might need that night, but Fred Myers is closed. If you haven’t been there you should take a walk down there and enjoy the Country Store.
Dixon Recreation Center
The Gym at Oregon state is better then most Gyms. This place has a decent size weight room that has a lot of machines and free weight to use. The best times to go to Dixon is really early in the morning, because in the early afternoon its packed with people. The gym is the best place to relive stress and get a good workout in. This place has two different basketball courts, Racquet ball and two separate cardio rooms. Dixon is a great place to take a swim and beat the hot weather that we experience in the spring. So if you want a great place to either cool off or relive some stress go to Dixon and have some fun.
The Valley library
The library has just been remodeled a few years ago. This is a really big library and a great place to study if you can't study in you dorm or house. The library offers you a great place to do a class project because they have huge tables that have internet access and plugs so your lab tap will not die. There are five floors to the library and every other floor is a quiet floor so you know your going to get some quiet if you go on one of those floors. On the bottom floor there is a cafe where if you get hungry or need a coffee so you can keep study and they have really good cookies there as well. If you need a good place to study I would suggest going to the library and checking it out.
The Covered bridge
The covered bridge isn't quiet on campus but is a sweet run or a killer walk. On you way out there you can see the agricultural fields. This place is a really awesome to see at night. If you love the stars like I do, at night the sky is just lit with stars. Once you get to the Covered bridge you have two options either go back, or walk a little more and find yourself along a farm land no houses or building just farm land. This is a good place do just forget about everything and just enjoy what Oregon State has to offer.
