OC 103
From OSU Wiki
This course is titled "Exploring the Deep: Geography of the World's Oceans." It is a four credit course. This is the most boring class I have ever taken. This course is literally only about the geography of the oceans. The way the ocean floor moves, currents, and waves. The professors did not go out of their way to make it interesting. Their passion for this topic just makes it worse. They get all excited about things you do not care about at all. The course overall isn't that hard. If you S/U the course you can almost get away with only going to lab and never going to lecture. The teaching assistant that I had re-taught everything the professors taught during lecture. In this class they take you on a field trip to the Oregon coast. I would recommend going with the class, because a group of us tried to go on our own. We ended up getting lost and had no idea what we were supposed to be looking at and observing from the directions that they gave us. Overall I recommend taking a different course to satisfy your physical science baccalaureate core course. I would avoid taking the course at all costs. If I had it to do all over again, I would not have taken this course.
