History of Memorial Union
The Memorial Union building is 77 years old and going on 78 this October. It was conceived as a memorial to the graduates of the institution- then Oregon Agricultural College- who had died in World War I.
For 77 years, the Memorial Union has been where Oregon State students come to eat a quick lunch, by sweat shirts, come to learn, to express themselves and play.
