Klunder, Bruce - 1958

Bruce was killed when a bulldozer backed over him during a protest against the construction of a school in Cleveland, OH, that would have perpetuated segregation in the city's schools. Klunder is one of 40 people listed as a civil rights martyr on the national Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, Alabama. He is only one of 2 out of the 40 to be from west of Mississippi.
