Activities
1. Tutoring
We are tutoring for lower level ECE and ENGR classes, focusing on ECE 111, 112 and ENGR 201, 202, and 203. We also would like to help with other classes that are part of Pre-Engineering curriculum. We are located in Dearborn 100. Please stop by at any time of the available times listed on the schedule which is linked below.
2. EECS Graduation Ceremony
The graduation ceremony will be happening in Spring 2009.
3. TA of the Year Award
The purpose of the Robert Short Teaching Assistant of the Year Award is to promote excellence among the teaching assistants in electrical engineering. The awardee receives a certificate and a $500 award. Using course evaluations of the TAs after each quarter, the selection is made in the Spring. The award is presented the following Fall, in the first departmental TA meeting.
4. Sophomore of the Year
Each year, students have been identified as being in the top ten percent of your class. The winner of the scholarship will receive $3,000 distributed to their university account for the 2008-2009 school year.
5. Outreach to our community
HKN is currently in contact with Ellen Momsen, head of women and minorities in engineering. She has a wealth of engineering outreach opportunities over the course of the year. We will have many fun things to do in the year ahead!
