Farmers' Market
From OSU Wiki
The Market
Every Saturday morning, from mid-April to mid-November, downtown's quiet waterfront comes alive as locals gather for the Farmers' Market. Local farmers stock their booths with bright, colorful produce. Music of all sorts can be heard, everything from the fiddles and drums of old men to the violins of small children. The air is filled with the aroma of freshly baked goods. Customers wonder through the market making friends with the producers of the goods they are buying. This atmosphere is far different from anything one would find at Fred Meyers or Winco.
In the age of giant supermarkets and huge corporate farms the Farmer's Market provides small area farmers with a chance to reach the local customers. In doing so it enables these family farms to survive and keeps this industry in the hands of locals.

Vendors
The purpose of this section is to give information on the local farmers. The primary goal is not to advertise but to provide background information on these people on their farms. Through this I hope to promote one of the main of objectives of the Farmers' Market, to connect the community with their local foodsource.
