When
Crabbing is ideal during slack tide. This is basically when the tides are not moving as much-
Approximately one hour before and after high or low tide. This allows the crabs to easily stay in one location as compared to having to fight the currents.

Tips
Be Prepared for the weather- it can change very quickly at the coast.
Bring something you can wheel all of your equipment on.
Bring snacks!
