Rules

The Bowling Alley is a wood surface 78 Feet long, including a 15 foot approach, and 41 to 42 inches wide. At the end of the approach is a foul line which your foot can not go past. On either side of the wood surface are gutters which it your ball goes in will run it past the pins with out hitting any. A regulatory pin of 2 lbs. 14 oz. to 3 lbs. 10 oz. made of maple are set at the end of the lanes to be knocked down. There are ten of them. A blowling ball with two or three fingers holes cannot exceed 16 lbs. Special bowling shoes are reqired to wear during play. The object of the game is to strategically walk down the approach with out crossing the foul line and roll the ball down the lane in attempt to knock down all the pins by not entering the gutter. There are three games in a series and 10 frames in a game. In each frame the player is allowed two chances to knock down all ten pins if not done in the first roll. On the tenth frame the player has a chance to roll the ball three times if a strike or spare is accomplished. A strike is a term used when all the pins are knocked down on the first roll of a frame. A spare is accomplished by knocking down any extra pins left after the first roll. The highest score is 300 points which is accomplished by rolling 12 strikes in a game.
