I had Monica as a teacher for BA 211, and I felt she did a good job of explaining the material and helping the class understand the basic Accounting concepts. The homework assigned in class was not graded, but she would occasionally have the class form small groups and show how to complete an assigned problem to see if people were doing the assigned problems. There were 3 somewhat lengthy problem sets assigned throughout the term, and they were a great help in testing you to see if you understood the material and were ready for the upcoming exam. The 2 midterms were a mixture of problems and short answers, which required you to understand the concepts and transfer that understanding into a paragraph or two. The final exam was cumulative and entirely multiple choice, but the types of questions were very comparable to the midterms. Good class overall, as long as you do the homework and read the book, especially before the tests.
