BA 357
This class is about operations management. In the class you learn how successful business transforms inputs into outputs. Overall the class is not extremely difficult, but you need to do the homework. Homework is given but you are not required to turn it in, but to be successful on the quizzes and tests you need to have a good understanding of the hw. Also you need to attend classes, lectures add information, it's not just repeating what you read in the book. Also the examples given really help out when working on the homework. There is no penalty for missing class (unless you miss it on a quiz day) but quizzes and test incorporate information from both lecture and the book.
This class is not difficult as long as you go to lecture every class period. Most of test material is straight from the lectures so reading is not essential. Sloan is a good professor to take. He explains the material well and is very fair in the questions he asks on the quizes and midterms.
