Cut & Pasting from Word

Hot Topic:
No

In the WYSIWYG editor, there is a cut/copy/paste toolbar that includes pasting text as plain text or from Word. Click the "Paste from Word" button (Paste from Word button) and paste the text inside the window that opens. Just paste the text in the box and press "Insert."

There are current issues or problems when using this button. When copying tables from Word, extra visible space is included in the cells vertically, making a large table. If you are sure your table is suposed to be "bulky," then you have no issue. Example of a bulky table:

Cell 1

Cell 2

Cell 3

Cell 4

Identifying the problem is key. Click inside the table and click the Insert/edit table button (). The table Height field is blank. This tells us that the issue isn't with the table dimensions. Click inside a cell and click the Table cell properties button (). The cells don't have values inside the Width and Height fields, which tells us that issue isn't with cell dimensions. Our issue must be the content inside the cells. In this case, there is a text format in each cell, called Paragraph. To remove the text formatting, click inside the cell and click "-- Format --". After removing all the paragraph tags from the content inside the cells, it will make the table more presentable. Example of a table without paragraph tags:

Cell 1 Cell 2
Cell 3 Cell 4
