In the WYSIWYG editor are buttons for linking and unlinking text. Clicking on the "Insert/edit link" button brings a pop-up window, while the unlinking button will simply remove the link, but leave the text.
The pop-up window from the link text button has a few options for your link.
In order to create a URL, you need to place the relative URL in the URL field, including the "http://." The browse server button
allows you browse through the files you've uploaded to your site. This is how you would link to a PDF or Word document. This will not insert an image into your page, so don't select an image here.
A drop-down list called Target will allow you to select your link type. Occasionally, you will want the link to open in a new window.
Using the Anchors drop-down list displays the current anchors available on the current page.
When the user clicks on this link type, most likely the user's e-mail client will pop up with a new e-mail. In this pop-up window, you can specify the e-mail address for this e-mail to be sent to, just as you would with a hyperlink. In order to create a e-mail hyperlink, simply type "mailto:" as shown in the image, followed by the e-mail address.
This button can be used to remove a link. Simply put the cursor anywhere in the link and click on the button and the whole link will be removed, leaving the text behind.
An anchor tag allows you to create anchor links that link directly to that section on the page. This button lets you insert an anchor tag anywhere on your page, though it is most common to put them at section headings. Clicking on the button brings up a simple pop-up that only requires a name for the anchor.
This handy button allows you to create Internal links, or links to pages within your site. Upon clicking on this button, the resulting pop-up window gives two options for browsing pages within your site. The first tab, "Aliases", displays all of the URL aliases on your site, in alphabetically order. The second tab, "Site Map", displays the menus on your site. You find the page you want to link to by navigating through your site's menus. Once you've selected the page, hit "Insert" to create the link to the page.
