WAGE 2008 Retreat

On August 13th 2008, advisory board members of the WAGE office, PCOSW (President's Commission on the Status of Women), and the Women's Center gathered at the Hanson Country Inn for a day long retreat. The retreat was led by renowned life coach Susan Schwarz.

The goal of the retreat was to provide an oppurtunity to members of the three boards to connect with each other and share their experiences and hopes for gender equity on campus.

We started the retreat out by discussing the accomplishments, challenges and oppurtunities were of each of the three groups.

Through a series of small group discussions and large group consensus, we were able to put together a strategic plan, towards gender equity and increased diversity at OSU.   Our strategic plan comprises of 4 sub sections: Transparency and consistency, Sexual violence, Strategic leadership and Awareness of barriers.
