The WAGE office is hosting a forum on gender equity at the Memorial Union's ballroom
9:30 am on October 30th, 2008.
'GENDER EQUITY IN ACADEMIA: Best Practices'
The forum will be lead by three speakers, well known for their work in the field of gender equity in academia.
Ohio State University’s Deb Ballam is the Associate Provost for Women's Policy Initiatives and Director for The Women's Place.

Nancy 'Rusty' Barcelo is the Vice President and Vice Provost for Equity and Diversity at the University of Minnesota. ________________________________________________________________________________
Sheila O'Rourke is Assistant Provost, Academic Affairs, Office of Faculty Equity at University of California, Berkeley. ________________________________________________________________________________
The speakers will talk about best practices at their universities, with a world café style discussion forum to follow. The event will take place in the MU’s ballroom, from 9:30 am to about 11:30 am and will be open to all.
