OSU Women’s Network (OWN)

OSU Women's Network is the programatic arm of the WAGE office.

 

WHAT IS OWN?

The OSU Women's Network (OWN) is a newly formed organization for non-student,  female personnel at OSU. It is designed to gather & serve women from all areas of the University, including classified staff, professional faculty, teaching faculty & research and extension faculty/staff.

OWN'S MISSSION STATEMENT

 By offering a safe space for authentic dialogues, community building, informal networking and personal & professional development opportunities, OWN serves all women who are employed at OSU.

OWN'S GOALS

To mentor & take care of each other, in order to forge professional & personal connections among all women at OSU.  

To coordinate and collaborate on professional & personal development opportunities for all women at OSU.  

To actively advocate for gender equity in compensation, advancement opportunities, and professional development; and to improve the campus climate for all women at OSU.

To help recruit, hire & retain women at OSU. 

OWN'S MEMBERSHIP

OWN is a dues-paying organization. Tax-deductible contributions are encouraged. All women who are employed by OSU are encouraged to join the listserv in order to receive postings about events and opportunities, and to participate in a dialogue with other women at OSU. In order to support all members of OWN, the formation of special interest subgroups, based on personal or professional interests is encouraged. Please contact the WAGE office in this regard.
