NOTE! There have been issues with the Supplemental Application that we have not been able to fix to date. Please read these instructions:
- If you are using a Mac, please open the Supplemental Application in Acrobat Reader (not Preview).
- Using a Mac or PC, save the application to your desktop using "save as" (you will be prompted that it will be a blank form). Type anything in the first box and save it. Close it. Open it again, and if what you typed is still there, you are good to go. Now you can fill it out, save again, and print it before pressing the "Email Application" button. Should you encounter any problems, you will have your hardcopy to refer to.
- When you press the email button, an email should pop up with the application already attached and it will be pre-addressed to "CVM Admissions". Send it. If after pressing the email button, nothing happens, send it as you normally would do as an attachment to your email to: cvmadmissions@oregonstate.edu.
- If you encounter a problem, please contact cvmadmissions@oregonstate.edu or 541-737-2098.

A committee of faculty members and a representative of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association conduct the interviews. If you are selected for an interview, you will be evaluated on interpersonal communications skills and scope and knowledge of the veterinary profession. You will also have an opportunity to expand on or explain information you provided in your application.
- If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified approximately two weeks prior to the actual interview, which usually occurs in mid to late February.
- If you are a nonresident, you will not be interviewed but will be evaluated and ranked by all other areas as listed in Student Selection Criteria. [return to top]
Residency Requirements
Approximately 40 Oregon residents and eight to sixteen nonresidents are accepted each year into the College of Veterinary Medicine at OSU.
Oregon residents are required to be certified as in-state residents by September 1, 2012. Any concerns regarding residency certification should be directed to the OSU Office of Admissions Residency Classification Officer. [return to top]
WICHE Applicants
The approximately eight to twelve available nonresident positions include positions for students who are applying through the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) contract from Arizona, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah, or Wyoming. Under the terms of the WICHE Compact, top-ranked certified students admitted from WICHE states are sponsored by their home state and pay resident tuition and fees.
