Class coordinators for a joint 20-year reunion celebration declared the September 29 weekend event a great success. Drs. Kris Otteman, Robert Lester and Doug McInnis arranged for the three classes to come back to the College and see what changes have taken place since they graduated and left the orange halls of the newly built Magruder Hall.
About 45 alumni from the three classes attended activities which included a Friday night gathering at McMenamins; brunch and tours of Magruder, a tailgate party and the OSU vs UCLA football game on Saturday. Several alumni toured the new small animal hospital for the first time and commented that the additions and remodel was a significant improvement to the Magruder Hall they remembered.
Drs. Riebold, Pearson, Crisman and Huber and retired faculty member Dr. Ferries enjoyed visiting with alumni and sharing stories from the ’80s. Dr. Riebold gave a welcome at the brunch and shared a great list of “where are they now” of the faculty that taught classes then.
A highlight of the tour was to see the large animal hospital expansion, equine treadmill building, and covered arena, which will be open for business in March of 2008.
