College of Veterinary Medicine

The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is a public-supported facility providing a full range of animal disease diagnostic services to veterinarians, livestock producers, pet owners, and biomedical researchers. We work closely with local, state, and federal agencies, supporting their programs in animal and public health. The Laboratory is a member of the National Animal Health Laboratory Network, providing surveillance and response testing for foreign animal diseases in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture. We are committed to customer service, providing accurate results in a timely fashion, emphasizing communication between diagnosticians and our diverse clientele, and addressing the changing needs of that clientele.

In addition to our diagnostic services, the Laboratory shares in the training of future veterinarians through instruction of veterinary medical students in the practice of diagnostic medicine.
