Veterans Dependent Tuition Waiver Program

This benefit provides a full tuition waiver (not fees) for a bachelor's or master's degree at an OUS institution for a child or spouse of a member of the United States Armed Forces who either died in active duty, became 100% disabled in connection with military service, or died as a result of a disability sustained in active duty. Or the student must be a child (including adopted child or stepchild) of a Purple Heart recipient, alive or deceased, who was relieved or discharged from service in the Armed Forces of the United States with either an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions and was awarded the Purple Heart in 2001 or thereafter for wounds received in combat. This program does not apply to nonresidents, summer term, distance, or e-campus courses.

Complete the Oregon University System (OUS) Veterans' Dependent Tuition Waiver application form and submit it to the OSU Registrar's Office no later than 14 days before the applying term. Upon verification that all criteria have been met, the approved application will be forwarded to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for processing. Student's only need to apply once for this program.
