I’m finally done with my first year. I can actually say I survived. I finished my finals and during dead week I ended up getting sick. It’s ok, now that I’m done and I can’t wait for summer to begin. This year it was a new beginning for me, I wanted to leave all my bad habits behind and be a new person. I guess I accomplished my goal. I am different and I can actually say I changed for the better. I had more responsibilities than just going to school and being an athlete. I can actually say I’m independent.
I learned so much this year. This was a great experience for me. I have moved on and let some of friends go and I’m okay that we are no longer girls, but women (even though we are young). I have found new friends and people that make feel like everything is going to be fine. I am looking forward to the future. I know what I can do next year to improve. Next year will be amazing.
Now I’m going back home and I will once again be my parents’ little girl even though I am almost an adult. I will be at home working. I am also going to be an assistant coach at my high school. I can’t wait--I’m going back to see my family and friends. And who knows, maybe I will get engaged. It will be a new year with a new beginning, surprises, and great experiences.
