OSU Card Cash (2009-10)

On Campus Students

OSU Card Cash is an excellent option for students wanting to have the greatest flexibility for dining on campus. All OSU students, staff, and faculty have the ability to add money to an OSU Card Cash account using a debit or credit card. For the 2009-10 academic year, students applying to live in the on campus residence halls or cooperative houses have the option of adding OSU Card Cash to their student accounts in increments of $0.00, $60.00, $90.00 or $120.00 per year.  This provides students the ability to eat in any of the 28 campus restaurants including those located in UHDS dining centers, the Memorial Union, Dixon Recreation, the Valley Library and several academic buildings. On average students will typically spend around $250 per year eating in non-UHDS managed campus venues.

Some of the advantages of adding OSU Card Cash include the ability to:

• Eat at any of the 28 campus restaurants
• Use only one card (student ID) without needing credit cards, debit cards, or cash
• Have greater flexibility and convenience of locations for students regardless of where their classes are held
• Enjoy additional choice and variety of menu options
• Access additional dining options during nights, weekends and holidays
• Utilize OSU Card Cash for printing and copying charges at the Valley Library
• Conveniently track dollar balances using the MyCard website
• Add additional spendable dollars to the OSU Card Cash account via the MyCard website
  (*Must use applicable credit or debit card for transaction)
• Add donors (i.e. parents, family members, friends) to the MyCard account to also add additional OSU Card Cash
• Retain remaining dollars on the student’s ID card year-after-year
  (*When leaving the university, students can obtain any remaining balance minus a nominal administrative fee.)

Off Campus Students, Staff, and Faculty

If you don't live on campus and want to add money to your OSU Card Cash account, you can do so and enjoy the same advantages as the residence hall and cooperative house students. The only limitation is that you must add money to the OSU Card Cash account so that you have a positive balance. You can do so in person at the OSU ID Center in B094 Kerr or online at mycard.oregonstate.edu. If you come to the OSU ID Center office, you can pay for the requested addition with cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard. Online transactions use credit or debit cards. Additions cannot be billed to your OSU Account. No discounts are given with this plan. It will carry over from term to term and year to year as long as you are affiliated with the university.

The MyCard website allows you to manage your OSU Card Cash account online. You may view your OSU Card Cash; view past Card Cash transactions; add money to your OSU Card Cash account: set up, update and manage OSU Card Cash contributors other than yourself; and deactivate or reactivate your lost OSU ID card.
