End of the Year Procedures
All halls and cooperative houses will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2008. If you need to make arrangements to stay later due to a late final or graduation ceremonies please sign up at the Service Center no later than Wednesday, June 11, 2008.
How to complete the checkout process:
- Sign up ahead of time with your hall staff to check out of your room. You may do that during evening desk hours in your building. More information about check out sign ups can be found with your RA.
- If you are checking out Monday-Wednesday of Finals week, you will pick up your room inventory card at your Service Center. You will need to pick up your room inventory card prior to your checkout appointment.
- If you are checking out Thursday-Friday, you will pick up your room inventory card with your RA at your checkout appointment.
- Your room will need to be empty and cleaned prior to your checkout appointment
- After your checkout appointment, you will return your room inventory card, room key, and prox card. If any of these items are not returned, you may be charged for their replacement.
Tips for making check out go smoothly:

Memorial Weekend-take as many of your belongings home as you can.

Dismantle all bunks and lofts before Dead Week.

In order to have ready access to carts and vacuum cleaners, please plan on checking out within 24 hours after completing your last final exam.

Be sure to take your bike home!

Return any dining ware to the dining centers
- Remember that dead and finals week are both 22 hour quiet hours. Policies will be enforced until the buildings close.
- To have your mail forwarded, you will need to change your address online at OSU Student Online Services. Mail will only be forwarded until August 1st.
As the term winds down, we want to remind students who are residents of the halls that any unused UHDS Dining Dollars left on their accounts will be lost if not used by Friday, June 13, 2008. To see your current balance, simply log on to the MyCard website at: https://mycard.oregonstate.edu and enter in your student ID and GAP. You can use our UHDS Dining Dollar Budget Guide to help manage the remaining dollars on your account during the last few weeks of the academic year.
