Conference Dining
Meals are an important component to any conference or event. Here at Oregon State University we are proud of our award winning culinary team who blend the practical concerns of food safety and nutrition with the esthetic demand for quality and variety in all of our meals. We know you will be pleased with our food selections and encourage you to ask for sample menus from our conference coordinators as you prepare for your conference
During the summer conference season we operate two dining facilities and OSU Catering. Meal service in the dining centers is all you care to eat in each dining facility. We offer a selection of entrees, vegetarian selections, salads, desserts and beverages. We also have a convenience store available, located in Arnold Center where you can purchase various beverages, snacks and sundries for cash.
Our campus dining facilities are open for three meals per day at breakfast 6:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m., lunch 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., and dinner 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Special dining hours are available with prior notice.
Dining and Banquet Facilities
Our dining centers are food court or cafeteria style, depending on location. Selected on-campus dining facilities are open for limited breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours in the summer - three meals per weekday and two meals (brunch and dinner) on Saturday and Sunday. If your group has over 100 conference guests, please contact us in advance for additional meals on weekends.
Guests select a la carte menu items by using prearranged meal cards with magnetic strips to record the total meal purchases. Conference guests may select as many food items as they desire during one visit to any restaurant concept in their assigned dining facility. If guests wish to go back for a "second helping," it is considered an additional meal for invoice purposes. If you are any of your conference participants required special meals or menu items due to a medical condition, please let us know in advance.
Banquet Rooms and Gathering Space (UHDS)
Interested in additional comfortable meeting space on campus? Our dining centers have banquet rooms for rent by half day and full day; rooms typically accommodate from 24 to over 300 guests, depending on the room design. Residence hall floor lounges are also available to rent for small, informal meetings of up to 15 guests staying in that hall.
Catering Services
With the expertise of our OSU Catering staff, we can help you plan a wide range of beverage and food service menu items, from refreshment breaks to barbecues and elegant luncheons or evening banquets. Boxed meals and specialty desserts are also available from OSU Catering, the official catering service for campus residential and dining facilities. OSU Catering is also approved to cater any event in the LaSells Stewart Center, the CH2M HILL Alumni Center, the Memorial Union, and other facilities throughout the campus and surrounding communities. Catered meals are invoiced separately from your meal plan package at the catering rate. These meals do not qualify for the 5% guarantee discount.
