DesksDesks provided offer a working space that is 42" wide x 30" tall x 24" deep with a rear flap that increases the depth to 32". There is a total clearance under the desk of 26". There are 2 medium drawers, 1 large drawer, and 1 pencil drawer directly under the desktop. The desks are movable and each furnished with a chair. |
WardrobesEach student is provided with their own wardrobe for storage of clothing as needed. Wardrobes are 84" tall x 36" x 24". The interior section of the wardrobe is 62" tall and includes an adjustable bottom shelf and a bar for hanging clothes 2" from the top. There are 2 drawers at the bottom for additional storage. |

DresserEach resident will have a dresser with 3 drawers and the dimensions are: 24" deep x 30" wide. There is also a flap that increases the depth of the dresser to 32". Residents in Wilson Hall 4th floor will only have one dresser per room. (Dressers are not available in Poling, Weatherford and Halsell.) |
BedsThe beds provided in these halls are movable and stackable. They can be adjusted to have a clearance underneath of 32", 21.5", or 8.5". With an additional loft kit, the beds can be adjusted to have a clearance of 69" or 58.5". The mattresses are extra-long twin. |

It has 2 large drawers and 2 small drawers (approximately 11.5" wide), and a cupboard. The movable dresser has 5 drawers and stands 40" tall x 30" wide x 18" deep. There are 2 sizes of clothing bars. One is 36" long and hangs 62" off the ground. The other is 24" long and hangs 72" above ground. |

Comcast Cable TV Included in Every Room
Each residence hall and cooperative room has one cable TV jack that includes Comcast Cable TV (channels listed below). All you need is a coax TV cable (available at the OSU Bookstore if you don't already have one) and a cable ready TV or computer.
The on-campus Comcast TV connection is currently an analog only transmission. Since the connection is analog only additional digital services including: HDTV, Pay-per-View, On Demand, additional digital channels, and premium channels are not available for purchase from Comcast.
Note: If your TV only displays a few channels (channels 2-13) change the connection type setting on the TV to cable instead of antenna.

Advertising on BMC
When a movie is viewed on Beaver Movie Channel (BMC) video ads or "bumper ads" are included at the start of each movie which the viewer cannot fast forward through. UHDS is offering OSU groups and departments the opportunity to promote programs and events via a bumper ad for a nominal fee as a way to help offset the cost of the movie service.

Below are the average number of movie views per week in each month. This shows how many times your ad would be directly viewed in one week! Posters don't compare to that kind of exposure. As the year progresses we will continue to post the latest stats.

Here are the details...
- We limit the number of ads that can run at the beginning of each movie to a maximum of six.
- All six ads run in the bumper ad video before each movie starts.
- The six ad spots are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.
- Ads can be a static image for 10 seconds or a video with a maximum time of 15 seconds.
- Ads are restricted to OSU groups and departments to promote their programs, groups, and events.

Video, Image & Sound File Details
- Video: A video can be a maximum of 15 seconds long. It will look best if its size is 1280 x 720 pixels which is a 16:9 ratio or HD 720p. Anything else will be re-sized to a 720 pixel height. Any common single file video format is acceptable (mp4, mov, wmv, etc).
- Static Image: A static image can be in almost any picture format. The best size is 1280 x 720 pixels which is a 16:9 ratio. Anything else will be re-sized to a 720 pixel height. Keep in mind that a landscape orientated picture with large text will be much more readable than a profile orientation. Static images will play for 10 seconds.
- Sound: Voice-over and music can be used with your ad. Sound for static images can be uploaded as a separate file and should be 10 seconds long. Anything longer will be edited to the first 10 seconds. Sound for video can also be uploaded separately, if not already included in the video.
- Tips: Do not use a lot of text. Keep it short and to the point. Use large text size and easy to read fonts.

In-Hall Staff and Support
The services, skills, and time of a professional staff are available in each Residence Hall and Cooperative House.
Residence Directors
Each residence hall has a Residence Director (RD) that is responsible for the management of the housing complex, its various facilities and operations, and for the development of the residential population. RDs supervise the paraprofessional residential life staff, support the student government, encourage recreational, social, educational and cultural programming and are available for individual counseling and referrals to other university services.
Resident Assistants
Each residence hall floor (about 30-55 students) has a Resident Assistant (RA) who is selected and trained to assist with student concerns, personal, social, and academic needs, and general university and community issues. Residential Life Staff are "on duty" during the evening hours in each housing location. In addition, the paraprofessional staff are trained to handle emergency situations, enforce university and residence hall policies and regulations, and carry out general administrative tasks.
Cooperative Directors
Each cooperative house (about 38-60 students) has a Cooperative Director (CD) who advises the Executive Council, which manages the logistics of operating the house.
Operations Coordinators
Operations Coordinators oversee the operations of the three service centers and information desks, assist the residential life staff, and answer questions related to the application-contract, billings, and meal plans.
Maintenance & Custodians
University Housing & Dining Services has its own maintenance staff and contracted custodians. Staff performs daily common area cleaning, trash removal/recycling, and minor repairs through resident-initiated work order requests.
