Can't decide on only one person to choose as a roommate? Is there a particular group of people who you would like to live near? The Group Selection process allows you to create clusters of friends and acquaintences within the hall communities by forming and joining groups. In addition, the group of students then receives priority in selecting the group's building of choice.
To create a group, you'll need a name, description, and building preference. Once your group has at least six (6) students, it will become active. Groups are limited to 16 members. The group owner will be able to invite other students into the group, and groups are searchable. The owner has the ability to accept or reject group membership requests. Groups can contain all genders, but all group members must be in the same application period.
Once a group is active, members will be eligible to select rooms within the group's building preference prior to the start of open room selection. For returning student groups, room selection will be March 5-6, 2008. For new student groups, room selection will be March 14, 2008.
