Mark Floyd has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Oregon State University. He has worked at OSU since 1981 and serves as writer and news editor. He has won numerous awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Angela Yeager holds a Master of Arts degree from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University. Before coming to OSU, she worked as a newspaper reporter for a decade and was honored with awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association. Her responsibilities for OSU News & Research Communications includes media relations strategy, and working with the colleges of Liberal Arts, Public Health & Human Sciences and Business.

Joan Lease holds a bachelor’s degree in management with human relations emphasis from Sonoma State University. She has worked for Hewlett-Packard as an assistant in health services, an executive assistant and as a business analyst in marketing. Her responsibilities include Web support in posting news stories, editing and sending honor roll and graduation news, and general office support.
Larry Pribyl is assistant director of Broadcast Communications with University Advancement in the Department of News and Communication Services. He’s been on the OSU faculty for the past 26 years serving the campus community with media production. Before arriving at OSU, Pribyl worked at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the Cooperative Extension Service as a broadcast media specialist. Pribyl has a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master's degree in Adult Education from OSU.
His responsibilities include producing television, radio and multimedia programming and developing broadcast relationships with media outlets around the world. He frequently acts as the campus coordinating producer for external media, assisting producers, reporters and technical staff from broadcast and film production companies.

David Stauth has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University. In more than 35 years work in communications, he has held a number of writing, editing, graphic design and photography positions in newspapers, magazines and public relations. He has received multiple awards from the Associated Press, United Press International and Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
At OSU, Stauth covers the colleges of Science, Forestry, Pharmacy and Engineering, as well as other leading and related centers and institutes, such as the Linus Pauling Institute.

Theresa Hogue is internal communicators coordinator with OSU News & Communications. Her responsibilities include internal communications such as writing, editing and photography for LIFE@OSU, and writing and posting to OSU Today, as well as some external writing, including coverage of campus events as well as the College of Education and OSU Libraries.
Before coming to OSU in December 2008, Hogue was a reporter for the Corvallis Gazette-Times. A second-generation Oregonian, Hogue has a degree in English literature with a minor in professional writing from Portland State University.
In addition to her work at OSU, Hogue is involved in several community projects. She has been a volunteer with SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) for 12 years, and volunteered through the program in one of Lincoln School's bilingual kindergarten programs. She is also on the Board of Directors for Heartland Humane Society and actively involved in their annual Wine & Whiskers auction. She enjoys biking to work, spending time in her garden and tending to her flock, which includes a son, a dog, and a cat. Her partner Joseph is a faculty member at OSU.
Terra Research Magazine
A native Northwesterner, Lee Sherman grew up in Seattle and Portland, graduating from Portland State University in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. Since earning her master’s degree in journalism at the University of Oregon in 1980, she has worked as a reporter, feature writer, and editor for a variety of Oregon-based publications, including Times Publications (Washington County), the Portland Business Journal, Midway airline magazine (published by Skies America), and Northwest Education magazine (published by the NW Regional Educational Laboratory).
Her work has taken her from the Virgin Islands, where she wrote about efforts to protect the nests of leatherback turtles on St. Croix, to the remote town of Bethel on Alaska’s Lower Kuskokwim River Delta, where she visited a school district devastated by a lethal shooting and wrote about the district’s efforts to teach peaceful conflict resolution. As a freelancer, she has contributed to Oregon Magazine, The Oregonian, and Northwest Magazine (The Oregonian Sunday magazine), among other publications.
Over the years, she has won more than 20 awards for her writing from such organizations as the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the national Alliance of Area Business Publications. In 1996, Northwest Education magazine, which she co-edited for eight years, was named the best education magazine for an adult audience in the U.S. by the national Association of Educational Publishers (“EdPress”), based in Logan Township, New Jersey. Just before joining Oregon State University as a research writer, Lee co-authored a book with Betsy Ramsey on the science and politics of reading disability titled The Reading Glitch: How the Culture Wars Have Hijacked Reading Instruction (Lanham, Maryland: Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group, 2006).
