CORVALLIS, Ore. – William Lange, a federal expert on natural resource economics and forest policy, will present on Friday, Nov. 4, the 2011 Alumni Fellow Seminar for the College of Forestry at Oregon State University.
The seminar is titled “From New Perspectives to Landscape Scale Conservation: Searching for a Federal Forest Policy.” The presentation will be from 3-4 p.m. in Richardson Hall Room 107 on the OSU campus, and is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
Lange, a 1983 doctoral graduate of OSU, is the director and team leader for policy analysis at the USDA Forest Service. He will discuss the challenges of implementing management and policy objectives, especially during the past two decades when the focus has been on forest preservation and ecological restoration.
