OSU holds symposium on women leaders


CORVALLIS, Ore. – Women in leadership positions will be the focus of an upcoming event at Oregon State University next week.

The Women’s Symposium on Careers in Politics and Leadership takes place from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 4, in the Memorial Union Ballroom on the Oregon State campus. It is free and open to the public.

The symposium will feature female role models speaking on a variety of topics, including women’s leadership roles and women in traditionally male-dominated careers, while also addressing current events and sharing their own stories of success.

Panel participants include Rep. Sara Gelser (D-Corvallis), Caroline Davidson from the Willamette University College of Law, Sen. Chris Telfer (R-Bend), and Diana Woodward of Brenco Energy Concepts.

This event is sponsored by the OSU Women’s Center, the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs, and the Panhellenic Council.
