CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University students will recognize Earth Week with a series of activities from April 21-27 that focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The OSU celebrations will begin on Monday, April 21, with the Earth Week Kick-off in the Memorial Union quad from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event's goal is to inform the campus and community about the week's upcoming events as well as educate students about waste prevention and recycling. Demonstrations of the Campus Recycling-sponsored Solar Trailer will take place all week in the quad, including the powering of a popcorn maker during the kickoff event.

Other events include:

  • Tuesday, April 22 – A community fair in the MU quad from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will include numerous booths and tables under a large tent. Numerous organizations from on- and off-campus will present information, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
