OSU Talk to Explore Islam and Science, Nov. 21

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The relationship of Islam and modern science will be explored in a Monday, Nov. 21, talk at Oregon State University.

Free and open to the public, the "Islam and Science" presentation begins at 6 p.m. in OSU's Memorial Union Ballroom. It is part of OSU's Islamic Viewpoints Lecture Series.

Dr. Mohamed S. Mohamed, a Corvallis physician, will talk about how Islamic tradition has encouraged knowledge and how religion and research fit together in Islamic beliefs.

Mohamed received his medical training in Egypt before moving to the United States. His presentation is sponsored by OSU's Muslim Student Association.
