CORVALLIS - A new cabaret theater company called "Puttin' on the Bitz" will perform an evening of Broadway and cabaret music on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Oregon State University.

The free public performance begins at 7 p.m. in the Walker Recital Hall, Benton Hall Room 303.

Members Jan Eastman-Boucot, Anya Corbitt, Melody Dingman, Cathy Sams, Reid Sanders and Brad Townsend have performed in recent productions by Corvallis Community Theater, Albany Civic Theater and OSU's University Theatre, including "Godspell," "Damn Yankees" and "Pirates of Penzance."

Townsend says the group enjoys working together and hopes to perform cabaret around the Willamette Valley wherever it is needed, at restaurants, theaters and other venues.

The Dec. 7 performance will offer a wide array of singing, dancing, and movement, and will include music from "Chicago," and songs by George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Jason Robert Brown and David Friedman.
