CORVALLIS - A managing director for one of the nation's top engineering companies has been named associate vice president for finance and administration and director of facilities services at Oregon State University.
Robert James (Jim) Lloyd, Jr. will begin at OSU July 23. He brings more than 20 years of experience in leading facilities operations for international design and consulting firms in the computing, health care, and real estate industries.
Lloyd works for Syska & Hennessy in San Francisco. His successes at the firm include an 80 percent improvement in customer satisfaction scores over the past year, a 50 percent reduction in overhead expenses and employee turnover reduced to zero.
"Jim Lloyd is enthusiastically endorsed for his new role by Oregon State's academic and administrative leadership. He brings to the university the visionary leadership and effective management skills that OSU needs to fundamentally redefine and improve its Facilities Services organization," said Rob Specter, vice president for finance and administration. "Jim will be a terrific addition to our team."
Lloyd is a graduate of Washington State University.
