OSU soil scientist is awarded German fellowship

CORVALLIS - Richard P. Dick, a professor of soil science at Oregon State University, has received a German Academic Exchange Fellowship Award for the year 2000.

The German government's Ministry of Science provides these funds annually to scientists around the world to do collaborative research at German universities on a competitive basis.

With this award, Dick is conducting collaborative research with two German professors of soil science and mathematics. They plan on developing new models to utilize complex soils data to describe microbial and biochemical processes in soils.
