CORVALLIS - An Oregon State University sorority is teaming up with an OSU fraternity to collect clothes and donate them to the Salvation Army.

During the "Clothing the Community" drive, members of Alpha Phi sorority and Phi Delta Theta fraternity will visit all of the OSU Greek houses to collect clothing. They also are encouraging members of the community to drop off usable clothing at the Al pha Phi house, located at 357 N.W. 25th St., or at Phi Delta Theta, 120 N.W. 13th St.

The houses will collect the clothing from now until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

"The purpose of the event is to bring together these two organizations and to give something back to the community," said Alpha Phi's Kelley Milligan, public relations director for the sorority.
