Veterinary doctors to graduate

CORVALLIS - A commencement ceremony will be held this Sunday, May 24, for 36 new veterinary doctors in the 16th graduating class of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University.

The ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the LaSells Stewart Center, and is free and open to the public. Most other university students will receive their degrees at OSU's regular commencement ceremony on June 14.

Graduation addresses will be presented by Dr. Erwin Pearson, an OSU professor of veterinary medicine, and Dr. Stephen Hines, a professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. Degrees will be conferred by OSU President Paul Risser, and the veterinarian's oath administered by Dr. Robert Franklin, president of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association.
