CORVALLIS, Ore. - An Oregon State University student from Santa Ynez, Calif., will direct operations of OSU's 1998-99 Beaver yearbook.

Lisa Petersen, a sophomore in general agriculture, will serve as OSU yearbook editor. Petersen also served as an editor of the Pirate Revue yearbook at Santa Ynez Union High School. While a freshman at OSU, she served as organizations editor for the Beaver yearbook.

Petersen, who is minoring in communications, said she is planning a career in agricultural communications.

"I would like to do advertising and marketing for agriculture products and industry groups, she said."

About 2,000 yearbooks will be sold this year at Oregon State, which is expecting a fall enrollment of more than 14,500 students.
