Seely named associate dean of College of Science


CORVALLIS - Justus F. Seely, who chairs the Department of Statistics at Oregon State University, has been named the new associate dean for financial affairs in the OSU College of Science.

Seely will succeed George Pearson, who will continue at OSU as a professor of biochemistry and biophysics.

An expert in linear model theory, Seely has been honored both for his research and teaching, and is a fellow in several professional organizations. He received his doctorate from Iowa State University in 1969 and joined OSU that same year.

In his new position he will continue his duties as a professor of statistics.
