Description
We all have expectations. When they are met, life is good; when not, we are disappointed, confused--even a little angry. Think back to your last vacation or trip to see family over the holidays. The experience, whether good or bad, had much to do with the met or unmet expectations by you or others. Likewise, the workplace runs well until expectations fall short, and then the quality of work suffers, outcomes are diminished and relationships are less than ideal. If expectations are discussed upfront and understood, they can be managed so that the end result is optimum. The concept of meeting expectations will be captured through an experiential exercise working with a family vacation.
