Banner Financial Information System - Canvas

Description
The FIS Banner online training provides an overall look at the organizational and accounting structure at Oregon State University. It is designed to help the user gain an understanding of how OSU is organized within the financial accounting system and how their unit fits into the big picture. In addition to organizational structure the course will cover fund accounting, FOAPAL accounting structure, Indexes, and an overview of the Fiscal Operations Manual.

An approved Request for Access form are required for FIS Banner access, and it is also a prerequisite for the FIS Invoice, FIS JV, FIS PO, FIS Grants, FIS Approvals, FIS Reports, and TRES classes.

If you are not a previous or current user in any of the Banner Systems, you might consider taking the general navigation workshop, Banner Basics, before attempting the Banner FIS courses. Banner Basics is available online; you can enroll in the training through the Course Listings link on the left.
